I need to replace/repair my attic stairs. I have a cord I pull from the celling and then I have to unfold the stairs but the bottom (closest the floor) stair is missing. I just bought this house and I don't know where the stair might be.
Do I need to replace the whole stair assembly or can I just get a piece of wood and replace the bottom stair?
Answers:
1Yes, you can replace the stair. Also since it is the bottom stair, you should use nails and glue and a screw or two in each side. The bottom stair is notorious for seperating.
